V-Day Cont....

We spoiled Cooper as usual, but we want him to have good memories and everything we got was really cheap. He loves Mickey Mouse and so we got him this Mickey Mouse shirt that says "Mr. Perfect." I told him to smile for me and this is what I got:He also loves his treats. My kid would live off of sugar if he could. We had to get him this Mickey Mouse sucker for a valentine treat...look at the focus on that sucker! :)

For the last 3 weeks or so, however early Walmart put out their Valentine's day stuff, Cooper has wanted a heart balloon. Our conversations would go something like this:
Cooper: "Heart Balloon!" (Yelled as loud as he could, finger pointing in the air...)
Mom or Dad: "Yep, that's a heart balloon."
Cooper: "Have heart balloon?"
Mom or Dad: "You don't need a heart balloon."
Cooper: "I need one."
So, Dad broke down and got a heart balloon:However, this joy was short-lived. Yesterday, while I was upstairs, I heard a blood-curdling scream come from the living room. I raced down to see what appendage my son had cut off and I found him in tears for his heart balloon. We've had good weather lately and apparently he decided he was going to take "Mike" and the heart balloon out to his swing set...and he let go of the heart balloon. Coop was heart-broken. He kept saying, "Come back heart balloon," and when I finally got it through to him that it wasn't coming back, he kept saying, "Sorry heart balloon, sorry..." It broke my heart too. He felt so bad, and wanted another one so much, he carried on like this for a couple of hours. I couldn't take it anymore, so I called Dan and had him pick up another one after work. The joy on his face upon seeing the second heart balloon made the two dollars spent all the more worth it.Dan and I didn't get each other anything this year, but we did decide to get a Coldstone ice cream cake to celebrate. Here is Coop with the cake, right before he decided to lick, yes lick, the entire outside edge while I was getting a knife. Its a good thing we share germs in this family. Yummy strawberry, red velvet, ice cream cake...totally worth the calorie overload.
