Potty Training
So, a couple of months ago I decided that I was done changing a certain little boy's diapers. He will be 3 in August and we felt like he was ready. He has always had a fascination with the toilet, so we knew being scared wasn't going to be an issue. I started by making a potty chart with a dinosaur going on the potty and a potty treat jar...sorry, no pic yet but take my word, it is super cute. Anyway, that worked for a couple of days until he decided that he just wasn't as motivated as he could be for a starburst. Luckily for me, Dan took him to Wal-Mart the 3rd day of potty training and Coop saw the fish. He would potty train for a fish. Can you believe it? Anyway, we made him earn the bowl, then the rocks, and then the fish. Meet Silly fish: Silly Fish is a tiger fish who loves to try to jump out of his bowl and scare me. He likes to swim laps really fast and Coop loves to feed him. Coop has since earned a Spongebob Squarepants pineapple house for Silly fish to live in. I don't have a picture of that yet either...but it is a bit big and the top of the pineapple sticks out of the water in the bowl. I smile every time I see it. Here is one happy and one potty trained little boy:
