Catching Up...

Phew!  I feel tired just writing about that first week in July!  This last post today is just a hodgepodge of everything else we have done this month.  We have been playing tons in the sandbox:
Going to see some of Dan's softball games and enjoying cheap concessions:
Visiting the ducks at the duck pond:
and modeling a new outfit that Grandma Gleason gave us for church:
B got a little scraped up at the ballpark when she fell and tripped on the asphalt.  Poor little thing had road rash all up her nose for a least a week!

The end of July also brought my 10 year class reunion.  I was in charge and we held it outside and just did a potluck dessert bar.  It went way better than expected, despite the fact that the wind destroyed any chance of putting up all the decorations I had.  I am so relieved this is over!  It was great to see people I really hadn't seen since graduation.  Here is a picture of me and two of my friends from high school.  Kim on the left competed with me on our awesome Academic Decathlon team and Kim on the right served on the Executive Council with me.
It was also Preston's Rodeo Days so we stayed a little late and watched the town parade.  This was Coop's and Bailey's first parade and they were pretty excited!  Here is Coop waiting for the parade to start:
B is enjoying some candy that Grandma caught:
Coop checking out his stash of candy, he was so excited that they threw candy for him to catch!
Miss B and Jenda watching the parade.  At this point, B was getting tired and decided to have an epic meltdown.  Luckily for us the parade was over and she crashed literally 5-10 minutes after we had piled in the van to drive home.
We've also been re-grouting our guest bathroom, replacing a broken toilet (it was cracked when we bought the house and 5 years later we are finally getting around to replacing it), stripping our staircase so we can stain and lacquer it again and make it look new, and yes, I am finally opening an Etsy shop so I have been busy designing Halloween product for that and a Halloween boutique that I am going to host.  Dan bought me a belt sander yesterday, I am excited!  Here's to hoping life slows down just a little bit in the next couple of weeks!

  1. Wow you all have been busy! Sounds like it's been mostly a good busy though! And good job with the high school reunion! I bet that was way stressful. I'm also excited for you to open that Etsy shop! How fun!
