So, July ended up being a whirlwind of a month, and I'm just starting to get caught up! On July 5th, we headed out for a staycation in Park City. At the end of this vacation, I think Daniel and I decided the time would have been spent better at home! :) We arrived in drizzly rain and took the kids to see Brave. In the collage above you can see Coop downing a huge bag of popcorn and Bailey sitting patiently (the only time might I add) for the movie to start. The movie was just okay, and Bailey decided that she was going to be the loudest, most mobile child to ever live once the movie started. I ended up taking her out and then just holding her in the aisle. She finally fell asleep, but not before peeing and pooping all over the two of us....awesome.
We ended up going back to our hotel and letting the kids swim and they had a blast. We thought for sure that they would be drained and sleep well but Dan ended up having to drive all over Park City to calm Bailey down enough to sleep and Coop had a rough night. The next morning, we hit the outlets and if you can believe it, we didn't buy a single thing! :( The kids had fun in a helicopter toy ride and they both enjoyed some watermelon shaped sugar cookies from Mrs. Fields. We were really glad to come home and I think it will be awhile before we try another overnighter with the kids again.
Ugh. Aaron and I decided this past weekend that we HATE. Park City. We were pretty excited to get home, too... and we even got a full night's sleep and didn't get pooped on!
