Cooper's favorite movie is Monster's Inc. so I was going to make him a Mike cake but couldn't find the right cake pan so he ended up with this hybrid monster/Sully cake. I know Sully doesn't have purple on his face but I was running out of time and the purple frosting was a lot easier to work with. So here is his monster cake:

Cooper Turns Two Cont.
On Cooper's actual birthday, my parents and extended family were all able to get together. He received the Fisher Price cash register which is one of his all time favorite toys at his Grandma Swenson's house as well as a puppy hooded bath towel, the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie, and some candy. (Please ignore me in this picture...uggh..)![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlw0S6_IjZY-WfAJAp5TZqqSl1nbCqWwGI5dJzbTmJHSzhkqvB68Yvh_EqEnDDcfRZGd7q6cN8ASCVRb37VolcZNqdQpCR08O_-VHp3Vom9St8IG9jNQ0Y1zC-tLfMpB-pQWWMjP9-TWkl/s400/DSC_0281.JPG)

Once again, he was pretty excited to blow out the candles and insisted on having them re-lit at least 5 times. In the other picture you can also see how he insisted that his candles go on his personal piece of cake, they too were re-lit several times until he was finally satisfied with his blowing out abilities.![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2N_W-q2ebS9ewZh599OEPRl1yNyVI-Z1uzCldZCQ6vAzQ74-uWos-QK_uyUO1EAfnbNbNHIEK6JXBt3Z7-MUdE3ViDBfJ7Ckti8uQEEZ5th-9iD8hA7vXN2blzx1idpq_7EutQ9EFwIUS/s400/DSC_0289.JPG)
All in all, I can't believe that my little boy is two! He has sure entered the terrible twos in full swing, but it has been fun to see how his vocabulary is developing and all of the new things he thinks he has to get into.
