I think Cooper's favorite part of SeaWorld was the Sesame Street area where they had a lot of rides for little kids. Like California Adventure, the bigger rides were 42 inches and he just barely missed it. Here we are on Abby's Spinning Stars, a picture of the Sesame Street ship, and Dan and Coop on Oscar's Rockin' Eel:
Cooper did like seeing some of the animals. We had a really good seat to watch them feed the dolphins which he thought was really neat:
And he loved the sounds that the sea lions make. I've decided that if reincarnation exists I want to come back as a sea lion in SeaWorld. You can be fat, you get fed, you can lie around in the sun all day, and when you growl at people, people think its cute. :)
The Shamu experience was amazing as always. I don't remember walking below to see Shamu in the tank the last time I was there, so I made sure that Cooper got to see just how big this whale is. He got all excited when Shamu would come swimming right up by him. He also loved how Shamu would get people wet during the show.
They had a hands-on exhibit that we passed while walking towards the penguins. Cooper got to touch a chocolate chip sea star, and no kidding, it looked just like a chocolate chip cookie!
Here are my two boys pretending to be penguins:
I think Cooper's favorite show was the Clyde and Seymour Sea Lion show. This time around they parodied television shows. They did CSI where they tried to figure out who stole the fish:
And Dancing with the Stars....here is the tango:
Coop's favorite of course was O.P. Otter who ended up with a coca-cola after all the people and sea lions had tried to get it first:
My favorite show this time around was the dolphin show. They really made it like a Cirque de Soleil show with high divers and acrobats in the air.
Isn't this costume amazing?:
The weather wasn't the best for SeaWorld, it was our coldest day in California. Despite the winds and overcast skies, and tons of sunscreen...I still managed to get sunburned there. Go figure. This concludes the Swenson Vacation to California in 2012. :)
