Yesterday we traveled down to Lehi to meet up with my sis-in-law Aubrey and her boys to go through The Museum of Ancient Life, or as it is referred to around our house, The Dinosaur Museum! I didn't know for sure if Cooper even knew what dinosaurs were, he hasn't ever really expressed interest in them, but thanks to shows like Dino Dan and Dinosaur Train, he informed me that a T-Rex is a dinosaur and a "tri-cer-tops" is a dinosaur and they are big and have horns on their face and back. Awesome!
We saw lots of bones such as a dinosaur foot:

Fossils of ancient sea life:
We also spent time playing with many different exhibits. Here the boys got to "design-a-dino" with Aunt Aubrey's help. You could remove the head, tail, horns, feet, etc. and completely change the dino.

The pieces were big and heavy, here is Coop by a tail:

They also had a really neat magnet wall where you could take bone magnets and create a dinosaur skeleton. The pieces were kind of hard to move, but the boys had fun:

And at the end there was the giant quarry where you could "uncover" dinosaur bones with your hands and paintbrushes. Or, as Cort wanted to do, bury all of the paintbrushes! :)

The boys had fun running from exhibit to exhibit, especially if there were ramps involved. We also had to get one family shot by this little dinosaur sculpture, Coop thought it was great because he could actually sit on it.
