Happy Birthday Bailey!

Well, the inevitable happened and my baby turned one on Thursday. We waited to celebrate until Saturday when some more family could help us to make Miss B's birthday extra special. Here she is cheesing it for her Grandpa Swenson, getting ready to open her first gift.
She really wasn't into tearing off the wrapping paper yet, but her brother most willingly jumped in to help her out! :)And here is Grandma Swenson showing Miss B how the popper toy works that they gave her:As a mom, it is my duty to get a shot of my baby with a bow on her head:I had a really hard time coming up with an idea for her cake. Finally, Dan mentioned something about elephants and I found a cute model of one on etsy. Here was my version of the elephant cake:Cooper was especially excited to pick out a sparkly pink candle to match the cake for his sister. I also made a small smash cake for Bailey to go nuts with:She was very cautious about the cake at first, preferring to just nitpick at it and see if it was worth getting dirty for:She even had to try eating the elephant (but gumpaste doesn't taste good and this is as far as she got):Happy Birthday Miss B! We love you, and we're glad you enjoyed your cake!
