Disneyland

This was probably my favorite day of our vacation...although it didn't start that way when Cooper decided it was time to get up at 5:30 in the morning!  Disneyland doesn't open until 9:00, so we had some time to kill before walking down to the park.  At 8:15, we couldn't contain Cooper any longer so we made our way to Disneyland.  Main Street U.S.A. actually opens at 8:30 and I'm so glad we went early.  All of the major characters were out for photo ops.  Cooper was beyond excited to see all of his favorites: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and Pluto.

*None of these pictures are edited yet, so I apologize if they are a little off kilter....I've just learned if I wait to edit, I never post.  Also, disregard my weird hunchback of Notre Dame impression...who knows what I was doing there. :)

The lines at the park were amazing, I think we had one long wait of 20 minutes.  Cooper's favorite ride was the teacups, I think this is because he has been playing a PBS kids computer game that involves a teacup ride.  One of the new rides that I had never been on was the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, it was really well done and a lot of fun.  We hit that very first and I'm glad we did because it is a long ride and later in the day the wait time was crazy!  Here are just some of the many rides we all got to experience and enjoy:

I liked that Disney had photo ops set up that looked like the rides since Cooper would usually throw a fit if I tried to get one on the actual ride.
Here are my boys riding the carousel.  Note Coop's disdain of yet another picture:

He loved Tarzan's tree house, we climbed the thing 3 times.  My knees didn't appreciate it later in the day.

To my surprise, Coop loved all the big rides like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Rollercoaster, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Splash Mountain.  As evidenced below, I hate Splash Mountain.....at least I did it right?
In all of the times I've been to Disneyland before (twice), it was tradition to get a picture with my mom by Sleeping Beauty's castle.  I want to keep up the tradition, so here is Cooper and me by the castle and Dan and Cooper attempting to pull out the Sword in the Stone behind the castle:

He also got to meet Pooh and Tigger:

No trip to Disneyland is complete without a Mickey on a Stick:
And at the end of the day, we snapped a picture by the flower Mickey at the entrance to the park:
It was a great day and when we finally left at 6:00 p.m, Cooper barely made the walk back to the hotel where he crashed for the rest of the night at 6:30. :)
